Roshani: Empowering Communities through Medical Awareness”

Parivartan Samaj Vikas Samiti, in collaboration with SF Consultant – Bhopal, conducted the Roshani Medical Awareness Program, targeting 15 remote districts in Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. The program reached approximately 2,000 patients and aimed to raise awareness about various health issues, including cataract, sickle cell disease, Dengue, and malaria.

Parivartan Samaj Vikas Samiti, with support from SF Consultant – Bhopal, implemented the Roshani Medical Awareness Program

Project Implementation

Health Camps and Workshops

  • Medical Camps: Conducted in remote villages and towns, offering free medical check-ups, consultations, and medicines.
  • Educational Workshops: Focused on symptoms, prevention, and treatment of TB, Cataract, Sickle Cell Disease, Dengue, and Malaria. Hygiene and sanitation were also emphasized.

Medical Check-ups

  • Elderly Patients: Specialized teams provided age-specific health screenings, particularly for cataracts, with referrals for follow-up care.
  • Child Patients: Pediatric evaluations included screening for sickle cell disease and educating parents on child health practices.

Distribution of Information Materials

Printed educational materials like pamphlets, posters, and brochures were distributed to reinforce learning and encourage sharing of information within communities.
